Winrock International is an international organisation with a branch office in Abuja, Nigeria. One of the programs carried out by Winrock in Nigeria was the AIDS Impact Mitigation project (AIM) which was a USAID funded project aimed at building the capacity of Nigerian NGOs to respond to the impact of HIV/AIDS in their communities. The AIM Project provided direct training and on the job technical assistance in programme design and implementation as well as ensured organisational capacity to implement programmes in line with sound financial and administrative systems. It regularly monitored and evaluated activities implemented to determine quality, impact and cost effectiveness of its programmes.  This program ended in February 2011.
